About Lysning
An independent, non-commercial project.
Lysning is a Danish term meaning a clearing or a brightening. In a forest, it refers to an open space where trees do not block the light and visibility opens up. As a physical phenomenon, it describes a moment when clouds part, darkness recedes, or a situation begins to improve after a period of crisis or tension.
This is the purpose of the Lysning project: to create a space of clarity where facts, events, and sources can be observed without obstruction, distortion, or informational noise.
Lysning is an independent, non-commercial project that documents geopolitical developments, hybrid threats, and international affairs using verifiable sources, timelines, and contextual analysis. The project distinguishes between documented facts, official attributions, and analytical interpretation, aiming to keep these layers explicit and transparent.
While not claiming absolute neutrality, Lysning adopts a perspective grounded in international law and the principles of the multilateral order. The project does not follow a realpolitik approach based solely on power or strategic convenience, but considers respect for international agreements and legal norms an essential condition for stability and accountability in international relations.
